Our Values

Values are the treasures that shape our decisions and activity.

Legacy's values were forged from our belief that God rescued us into a beloved people for our good and God's glory to the ends of the earth. Scroll down to see what our three primary values are and why...

Gospel: How We Celebrate

We're fascinated with the gospel

When we say “gospel,” we mean the stunning news of God’s grace through the life, death, and resurrection of King Jesus. It’s the power of God to crush sin, reverse the curse, and give dead hearts new life. Where we were once cold and rebellious, God gives us hearts that delight in Him.

This message isn’t just for the lost—it’s for the believer too. We preach it to the city, to one another, and to our own hearts. The gospel shapes our identity and forms true community, fuels our mission, drives our preaching, anchors our counseling, compels our generosity, and captures our hearts. It’s our song—and we sing it with joy.

Community: How We Belong

We belong to each other

Community is how we do church—not just on Sundays, and not just in community groups, but through intentional, life-on-life relationships. God designed community, and the gospel binds us together for our joy and His glory.

It’s messy, inconvenient, and often costly—because it brings together very different people who don’t always see eye to eye. But we do it because God, who is nothing like us, made the ultimate sacrifice to be with us. That’s why our community is gospel-driven.

Conflict will come—and most tap out there—but we stay in the ring, pursuing reconciliation as God did with us. Community exposes us, stretches us, and changes us. It also brings joy, peace, and unity. This is how we’re building Legacy—and we have no Plan B.

Mission: How We Invest

We're on a mission together

When we say “mission,” we mean our posture toward the city—living everyday life with gospel purpose. Every Christian is a missionary, not by doing something radical, but by doing normal things with intentionality: sharing meals, helping neighbors, showing up, and serving with joy.

Mission is living ordinary life with the message of Jesus on our lips and His love in our hands. It’s both action and proclamation—illustrating the gospel in how we live, and declaring it in what we say. We live this out personally and together, aiming to love our city well.
